Amber Orb over the Tundra Stag

This piece is a celebration of pure texture and vibrant color. I employed a heavy impasto technique, applying thick layers of oil paint with both brush and palette knife to create a highly tactile surface. The massive, swirling golden moon is the focal point, built up with concentric ridges of cadmium yellow, orange, and ochre to give it a radiant, presque-real presence. The stag is rendered with equally bold strokes, creating a sense of rugged form and movement. The landscape is an expressionist tapestry of violets, blues, and deep greens, where every stroke is visible, giving the entire scene a dynamic, raw energy that invites the viewer to touch the canvas.
