I utilized a heavy impasto technique, applying thick layers of acrylics and oils with a palette knife to create a rugged, tactile surface that contrasts with the serene expression of the subject. The cool blues of the face juxtaposed against the fiery reds and warm oranges represent the balance between inner calm and the chaotic energy of the universe. The floating gold and silver leaves symbolize the impermanence of life and the beauty of letting go.
