Whispers Through the Canopy
In this piece, I layered traditional oil paints using a wet-on-wet technique to preserve a sense of spontaneity and softness in the light. The diffused glow was achieved with dry brushing over glazed backgrounds, allowing light to bleed through semi-opaque layers. I used a limited palette of greens, ochres, and grays to maintain harmony while suggesting early morning haze. The slender trees were defined with palette knife details, giving texture and subtle abstraction to the forest's stillness
